- Matthew Willard Review added: 2017.12.15★ ★ ★ ★ ★We had the pleasure of staying at The Waterwheel Guesthouse a few months ago. The B&B is in a fantastic location in the centre of Ambleside - within easy walking distance to shops, Lake Ullswater and nearby fells. The building has lots of character and the rooms are perfectly clean and well finished.
Julie and Nigel were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome. We had an amazing breakfast each morning, (cereal, fruits, fresh juices, eggs, cooked breakfast, porridge) and were recommended some wonderful walks around the surrounding area.
It was a wonderful few days; we look forward to returning again soon!
